「杜聰明獎」為我國授予外國人之最高學術獎。國科會於95年9月27日與德國宏博基金會簽署合作協議，共同設立「杜聰明-宏博研究獎」，透過交互頒獎的方式，鼓勵獲獎人至對方國家進行合作研究，以增進雙方研究品質與價值。
